Case Study: Premier WA School For Boys

WCA was engaged by one of Australia’s leading schools for boys, to further develop staff member awareness surrounding qualities and competencies of successful leadership.

In 2017 WCA designed a customised 360 Leadership Development tool and program to be utilised to support Executive development for approximately four of the school’s executives at this time.  The tool was built and customised to cover both teaching and non-teaching staff leadership capabilities and behaviours.

WCA was subsequently invited to develop a leadership development program for approximately twelve selected non-teaching management staff in 2018 and included four modules delivered over approximately eight months.  The program was based upon cumulative learning commencing with development of self-awareness utilising the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® and then building upon communication skills and styles to handle difficult conversations, coupled with practical skills in delegation, coaching and counselling.

Specifically, the four modules selected for the program included:

  • Understanding and applying the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®);
  • Delegation Skills and Techniques;
  • Courageous Conversation Techniques; and
  • Understanding Coaching and Counselling legalities and techniques.

WCA looks forward to continuing to work closely with the school on a project basis and provide expertise to the organisation through development and implementation of specific programs and consulting advice.
