A home building and construction firm initially sought assistance from WCA to review and improve Award compliance and functionality of employment contracts.  WCA and the Company soon realised additional assistance was required and WCA was engaged to provide an in-house Senior HR Consultant for a short term weekly part time arrangement.

Over the initial months an audit was conducted to identify the immediate requirements of the business to support its growth and the following areas were reviewed and improvements implemented as a result:

  • Organisational Structure and job design;
  • Recruitment and selection;
  • Development and implementation of job descriptions containing objectives and KPIs;
  • Creation of new contract templates for Supervisor and Non Supervisors;
  • Providing coaching and support for new Managers;
  • Award clarification and Remuneration benchmarking;
  • Performance Management Counselling; and
  • Implementation of Policy and Procedures.
