WCA was invited to present a program of training modules for leadership development to the WA Government in 2019 for delivery in the 2020 annual calendar.
Summary of key activities to be undertaken required a focus on delivering training and development initiatives to staff in communication, recruitment, delegation and overall leadership skills.
WCA provided the Department with a range of interactive and tailored training modules to consider, to support the agency’s core values of clear direction, fresh thinking, excellent service and great people including:
- Courageous Conversations
- REAL Communication Skills (based on Neuro-Linguistic techniques)
- Leadership Styles (Based upon Daniel Goleman’s EQ styles)
- Effective Delegation and
- Recruitment in the Public Sector
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, regrettably only one of the modules: Effective Delegation was able to be delivered in late July 2020.
However, WCA has been invited to submit a further proposal for the 2021 calendar year with the intention to deliver further programs this year.
